I am painting my walls so I can rent out my house.

I am in need of the income so I can take an unpaid internship position.
I am interning so I can learn and be equipped for ministry.
I am being equipped so I can plant a church in the future.
I am planting a church in the future so that people can meet Jesus.
I am introducing them to Jesus so we can spend eternity together in heaven.
I am painting my walls for eternity.
I appreciate that you followed this line of thinking to its logical end... not an obvious connection to the casual observer, but most things aren't if you are just casually observing. Since you have had a few hours to contemplate things in life while taping, cutting in and rolling for the last 4 days, I can see how you must be in much deeper thinking realms that the typical week. Maybe you should be a part-time painter in Seattle so you can have more opportunities to think deeply? That must be Jon's secret!
